I'm wondering if deviantART is still the place for me. I think its interface is slow and clunky. I think the administrators are largely false and pretentious (I think it's preposterous to liken deviantART to the renaissance). I don't feel that there's a community spirit here, rather I get the impression that it's an inherently selfish grouping of artists greedy for the circle-jerk type feedback that makes people feel good but ultimately does little to progress their art.

If anyone bothers reading other people's journals, I'd appreciate your input.
